1983. We all heard this being played in clubs (and on our own records) pre house, pre techno. There were so many other tracks like this at the time as well. Chicago & Detroit were important & creative places in the mid 80's, but let's not forget that they didn't exist in a vacuum. That time was defined by global cross pollination re innovation in electronic/dance music - yet too many just think "Chicago" or "Detroit". Where do you think those guys got their influence? Listen to this track and you have part of the answer.
